PFLAG Nevada County

From 2002 to 2021, PFLAG Nevada County worked to support, advocate for, and educate on behalf of the LGBTQ+ population in Nevada County and the surrounding areas. Our chapter closed in early 2021 but the programs that we developed have been graciously picked up by other organizations. If you are looking to attend a support group, please visit Color Me Human at www.colormehuman.org If you are interested in the LGBTQ+ Youth social group, please reach out to Bright Futures for Youth at bffyouth.org and ask about the “Rainbow Social.” Additionally, if you are looking for mental health support, be sure to check in with Community Beyond Violence at cbv.org and see if one of their many great services is right for you.

Over the years we saw the culture of this place we call home develop in ways we could only have dreamed of. We look forward to seeing the ways in which Nevada County continues to grow and evolve and embrace it's LGBTQ+ citizens.

We are incredibly grateful and humbled by the support that PFLAG Nevada County received from our community over the years. We couldn't have accomplished what we did without the love and dedication from hundreds of volunteers and members. Many thanks to all of you who helped put on events, served as board members, cheered for our parade floats, stopped to say hello at our fair booth, contributed to our fundraisers, and showed us love in ways that continually inspired us to keep moving forward. From all of us at PFLAG Nevada County, thank you!
